Due to logistics I have kept my cob hairy and unclipped for the past 7 years. This spring/summer (when a box becomes free) I'm moving him to the same yard at my rising 2-yo when I'll have much more freedom to clip/rug as I please.
Pinto isn't enormously hairy but (at the moment) I do have to temper how much work we do as he gets very hot and sweaty very easily.
I've played with the idea of hogging/clipping him on and off since I bought him, and never really got around to it, mainly due to the rugging situation (no horses are turned out if they have rugs on at my currnet yard).
Although I won't be showing (show classes don't really exist in France), I think he would look quite smart... what do you think?
