Clipping a horse with lice (not mine)

So I do a lot of clipping freelance and have just asked somebody ask me if I can clip their horse for them that has a lice infestation.

I am hesitant as don’t know whether they can be spread to other horses via the clippers. I want to help the horse but at the same time I cannot put my business and other horses at risk. I am tempted to say I will only clip if they have their own clippers I can use as don’t really want my own clippers being infected.

Thoughts please

One of my traditional cobs arrived with lice, I bathed with louse killer then clipped and another bath - pretty much eliminated them . I wiped clippers over with louse killer inc taking off blades and cleaning behind and also the filters. My overalls went in the wash with a little louse killer shampoo and that sorted it without anyone getting infected!
might be worth charging extra for time needed for cleaning postclip!

Definitely try to treat the lice first so less likely to get into your clothing etc. Shouldn’t be a problem if you clean and wash everything (including yourself) thoroughly. I’d tie my hair well back and wear a hat too!
