Did it! Thanks for all the advice. Its quite dramatic when they are sedated isnt it? He went under really quickly and I got the job done with two of us doing one side each. He started to wake up before we had finished and we had to twitch him to do his head, but managed to do his ears and everything. And lo and behold, before me stood a cracking heavy cob, who may even show to county level or so I am reliably informed. I had no idea he would look so good under all that hair, I've never had a cob before. Thanks again everyone, as I was quite nervous and the advice really gave me confidence.
