I have a pink skinned , white haired cob.
I just clipped him (blanket) with fine blades. Have since read that light coats /pink skins shouldn't be clipped with fine blades.
What's the reason for this ?
Have I messed up? Obviously it will grow back quickly this time of year !

I'm of the same opinion as the others who have responded to this post. I expect he'd be subject of sunburn so if you do clip rug him afterwards. Wouldn't have to be a heavy rug, just a sheet will be fine while we are having a rather warmer October than normal.

I clip mine with fine blades! They are said to leave more lines than medium but I haven't found this!

As said above, more risk of sunburn but less so in autumn sun and like you, mine is fully rugged year round so no really an issue!

I wouldn't worry about it
