Clipping already?!

My mare is a hairy monster! Anyone else having the same problem? Am thinking I'm going to have to clip her before goes eventing on Sunday - would I be nuts to do this?!

Ive seen several horses already clipped - so dont think it would be such a bad thing!

Ive clipped mine, more to the fact he looks untidy but got loads of hair off too so im guessing some will be ready to clip now!

I'm considering clipping Pepper - he's getting his winter coat already!!
Shows how common he is haha.
But I reckon the crazy weather this year has messed up their coat shedding etc.

Depends on the horse I think - the TB is fine, but the IDx is a wooly bear. Thank goodness shes finished eventing for the season, or the clippers would definitely be out.

I clip all year round although Ive left snoopys fur to grow a bit now as hes still out at night.

My arab who is a bit of a teddy bear in winter is getting his winter coat through, I'll be clipping him before the end of Sept. Girls aren't too bad yet (ISH and WB) but they are a bit hardier than him, live out all year etc.

im not clipping Archie until the end of September. Hes still got a lovely thin summer coat anyways, so has Bloss.

Oskar is starting to get a bit of furr - actually his coat looks amazing but isn't a sleek thin summer coat anymore. I'll probably clip at the end of September or early October. I got away with only doing two clips last year, which was lovely. At least two people on my yard have done their first winter clip already.
