As title really:

what breed of horse?
what type of clip?
what rug do you / will you have?

My pony is getting a clip this weekend for the first time and although will go how warm she is, I would like to get an idea as to what you all have. :)

Many Thanks

Welsh Cob, Hunter clipped gone out tonight in 300gm for the first time, has been in 200gm since first clip

I upped to 300gms because base of his ears felt cold for the first time today

19 yo Belgian Warmblood (though quite a 'thoroughbreddy' one), fully clipped, currently out in a mw rhino full neck but have a huge wardrobe of rugs to keep him toasty warm through the winter.

Welsh Cob- Fully clipped from head to toe and he's in 350g tonight. Mark Todd Combo Under Rug and Rhino Original Stable rug.

HW Cob- Fully clipped from head to toe and is in just a Rhino Original Stable Rug as she's a hot horse, so just 200g.

Connie x fully clipped in 200g M/W without neck during day and half neck 200g stable at night.
Yak like connie, "special clip" basically a blanket clip but tapering to stifle, rain sheet during day and 100g quilt at night. He was in a fleece at night until today but its going to be much colder tonight.

Appaloosa x Cob
Not been clipped yet but he's going to have a full clip
Think he will probably be wearing a MW Stable rug to start with

Irish Draught x
Blanket Clip
Currently wearing LW Stable rug

Heavy weight trad cob - hunter clip (but not saddle patch left) -ie legs left on and he's in the lightest weight quilt I could find (He sweat up when I put a rhino rug on him) but I've got a rhino and a fal godalphin (sp?) for the winter -- also have a full range of old fashioned blankets cos I find these more adaptable.

15hh chunky cob, (see pic below for type of clip, not really sure how you'd describe it! He has had half his face clipped too, which this pic doesn't show):

Out in lightweight in day (no fill) and light-medium weight at night (100g fill).

I have an ex racer TB, he's got a blanket clip (was done on Sunday) and he's currently in a LW turnout in day (with a neck today as it was forecast to rain) and a fleece at night, with a waffle type thing on top if it's set to be below about 9 degrees...that's my current strategy anyway! :)

ISH (in sig)
He had a full clip including legs and half face off almost 4 weeks ago. He needs clipping again though as he is sweating in light work! Had to get him sedated for clipping last time though so I have to wait a couple more weeks or so before clipping again. Going to try sedalin.
He wears a 100g turnout in daytime and a 180g stable rug at night currently.

what breed of horse? She is a 14.2hh MW Irish Cob, 20yrs old
what type of clip? She will get an apron clip or an irish clip when the electric is done at the yard as I have none :(
what rug do you / will you have? She will just get a lightweight on at first, then perhaps a MW in much colder weather, she is a hot horse

ISH, 8 yrs old mare - she has an irish clip and has been naked in the day. She is in a lw with neck tonight (and has had a lw without neck on at night since she was clipped). From tomorrow she might have a lw on during the day and poss a mw at night. Prob is it needs to be a bit cooler for that as she will get a bit warm in a mw at night, but would be a bit chilly in just a lw. Just can't have a rug for every 50g change in weight though! Might just layer a lw with a fleece until it is chillier. She is a really warm mare so I do need to be careful not to over rug her just because I am feeling a bit chilly - seems I am much softer than her!

Welsh D, was hunter clipped 3wks ago.

Wears LW turnout (no fill) during day and has been sweating under this! MW turnout if staying out at night and seems like it might be chilly, and thermatex if in. He is the sweatiest horse in the world, think I will be clipping again next weekend so he's ready for the opening meet on the 30th!

Welsh X Hackney, 24 years old, fully clipped out 2 weeks ago- 300g Amigo in his stable at night, and either 200g Rhino or 370g Rambo Wug throught the day... although at one point on Sunday he was naked!!!
TB, 17 years old, not clipped at the moment as not working, wearing 300g Amigo in his stable at night, and 200g Rhino throught the day.

Both my horses feel the cold, are poor doers and they both winter badly so I have a multitude of rugs etc. If it gets much colder they'll be moving into their Rambo Duos and thick Stable rugs.

18 yo Percheron X had every thing off on Sunday. He is in an old rug of some sort. No neck. If he gets cold will put a warmer one on. He lives out 24/7 apart from the night before hunting as he is grey.

welsh cob (rather on the large side atm :-()
will be doing my 1st clip of the year at the weekend, it will be his usual trace clip.
I will stick him in a full neck mediumweight for the 1st few nights while he adapts but within a week he'll go into a standard neck 180-200g stable rug at night and a light weight turnout during the day until the weather deteriorates!.... i always find he gets used to it really quick and i hate over-rugging and finding him hot in the mornings!:o
