Have eventually decided that everything will be coming off this year :D Final decision was made as im sick of finding cuts and bloodyfied legs from the field so will be clipping legs and using turnout boots so no damage is done as i think his legs would overheat if hair left on as he is a hairy tb lol ... so the head must be done too, oh the joy of fiddly bits :p ... He'll stand for half his head to be clipped but when you get near his ears he doesnt like it and throws his head around, its his only clause when clipping. Is there any good quiet trimmers out there which would be good for this purpose? I have a wee set of trimmers but dont think they'd do the job

Thanks :D

Mine's the same, but i twitch him to get he's ears done as quick as possble then its over and done with in minutes and he is not stressed out by it. I use my normal clippers by the way :D

Was thinking about that to, iv never had to twitch him before so will probably be a last resort as i dont want to make it a bad experience and scare the wee man ... hes rather molly-coddled (sp) :p ... rest of the yard just use normal clippers but i have this thing about "omg what if i clip his mane off  " not a good look lol

I usually leave half a head and the legs. I use clippers for the body and then my trimmers to do the head, luckily the setting on my trimmers matches the clippers :) Never done a full head before so I'm not much help :) My trimmers are very quiet, they are Liveryman.

Yea i usually do that but am sick of his majorly hairy legs :p iv never seen a tb with that amount of hair on his legs haha ... i usually do half head with clippers and finishing touches with my wee trimmers but there a tad crappy so i need a decent pair  ... I shall go look at them liveryman ones Thanks :D
