Clipping in Feb

Is it too ‘late’ to re clip now? Is late even a thing?

Have quite a bit coming up and my mares clip has grown back quite fluffy in places.

Considering whipping it all off this weekend..

No such thing as too late to clip, I clip all year round.

I did my last one last week, definitely not too late unless you're showing. Better than having fluff coming out in spring. It's warmer than normal at the moment, and my old boy was really getting hot even just gently hacking. I've noticed the others, who were clipped maybe 2 months ago, are starting to lose their (clipped but maybe half inch long) winter coats so I'd do it straight away and the summer coat will grow through nicely.

I also have to clip all year round - I hate clipping. If the horse needs it take it off.

I clip whenever the horse needs it. Never really understood the 'too late' thing.

Clip whenever. Ive clipped all year round before. Makes no difference IMO unless you're into showing I guess.

As long as you have the ability to rug correctly/ provide shelter clip whenever you want. I just clipped mine on Monday.
