2 posts in 1 to save me creating two separate ones
So the Vet came today to do the spotty one’s teeth (all great and still in good working order, and no loose ones..!) and then sedated him so I could clip him. All great until my clippers decided they didn’t want to work properly half way though! One of the screws had jammed and I couldn’t get the blades off start with so had to spray with WD40 and wait for a bit. I carried on with my tiny dog clippers which did amazing well but they were struggling with the top of his back where it’s really thick! Managed to get blades off and changed them but still they sounded awful and were clipping on and off - not sure if it’s the fan that’s not working but I used nearly half a can of oil and clipper cleaner on them and prayed they would let me finish. Result is a fully clipped horse except for legs and head but there are a few patches where he woke up too soon and a LOT of lines I’ve hot clothed him and that helped a bit but I was wondering how long it will take to even out and him to look less stripey! I wanted to do take some off his face and gutted I didn’t get the chance but I took my life into my own hands with the last few bits anyway. Two hours later and it was finished. I think I’m going to have to invest in some new clippers for next winter as mine probably need replacing anyway - they are 15 years old!
Second question - I’ve just bought a new leisure battery from Halfords for my electric fence - I’ve got an energiser and an earthing rod and all the connections for the battery but was wondering if there is any other ways of connecting it that are more simpler? I saw these, what are these for? https://www.ukcountrystore.co.uk/acatalog/Energiser-Fence-Connection-Cable-With-Tape-Clamp.html
Also if you use a solar panel is that better and how does that connect? I’m not good with things like this in case you can’t tell!!
