I'm all for a production line - get it all over and done with in one go! I think I've got 7 or 8 to clip this year - gone are the days when I did over 200 clips each winter!

Snap! I only have 3 to do this year, but in my youth me and my friend would clip a livery yard and riding school between us, so 70 horses twice through the winter and then the 25 showjumpers on a separate yard every 6 weeks year round

Trade!?!?!?!?!?!?!

I refuse to clip before October 1st unless extremely necessary. But to be fair this year because we have had such a prolonged, warm, dry summer the horses have kept their coats a lot better so far. I can see a few getting fluffier now but only a handful out of the 90 something in the yard.

I usually comandeer a box for the day and then get so tempted to write in big unfriendly letters on the door F*** OFF! Clipping is not a spectator sport! Honestly! The amount of people that poke their heads over the door to be nosey or to "ask how your getting on" as they walk past does my head in! Just leave me alone to get on with the job!
