Don't shot me down :o

It's for my daughters' (6&7) Section A pony called Ruby as a bit of no harm fun.

She's a bit of an itchy pony and regular bathing helps so am going to whip it all off bar legs and a saddle patch so she can dry more easily and thought I'd try and leave maybe a 'ruby' or 3 on her bottom. She'll be attending PC, hunts and mini shows through the winter.

Thinking of using the below outline as a stencil, clip around and then use the trimmer to put the lines in- but not done before so any tips will be greatly received.

If it goes wrong i can clip it all and try on the other side :D

I would draw it on first (make a stencil perhaps) then use the edge of the trimmers to make the lines, this will produce quite a fine subtle result rather than the 'mowed' on wide lines that look so tacky!

I ment with the trimmers upside down- the top bit to do the inside lines 2mm lines- though trimers would be lighter and easier to control to get a really crisp finish...?

Draw with chalk?- she's chestnut

Stencilbum are local to me too- I'm going to try it free hand though as
A) i'm tight :o and
B) its quite simple (hopefully)

I'll try one and if not speak to stencilbum

Have a practice on a patch where its all coming off, such as her shoulder first. I usually do it with the clippers first, then just use them at an angle so the lines aren't blurred where the hair goes opposite direction/hangs over. Certainly won't shoot you down, I clip shapes into daughters pony too, think its really cute for kids myself.

Sticky back plastic !!! Cut out your shape and the lines you want to put in, peel the back off, stick on to ponies bum and clip away. Easy peasey. :D

Good luck, my son wants lightning on his ponies bum. I havent been brave enough though. we dont clip much off so dont have anywhere to practice. Would love to see how you get on
