Clipping shetlands

I have an 8 month old miniature shettie which I rescued she was in abit of state and I have found that she has lice I have been using a lotion that the vet gave me which has killed most of the lice but she still has a few remaining but with her coat been so thick I dont think the lotion gets into her skin I have tried rubbing it in but it doesnt seem to work. I am unsure whether to clip her out with her been so young as I can think of an alternative. I need to get rid of em ASAP and Iwant want my other horses catching them.

did vet mention an injection which may get rid, otherwise in this situation i would clip, yes, its not the end of the world.

No he didn't mention it :/ think I will attempt to clip her out her fur is matted anyway don't think she has ever seen a brush

Yes I would clip her, will get rid of matted hair and summer is on the way (hoepfully!) so it's not like she's gonna freeze! Maybe chuck a little rug on her overnight though for now
