Clipping the girth area?

Hello,

Just a quickie clipping my boy in the next couple of weeks - never been done before - but if we manage it will he be ok if i clip his girth area? will he get sore? he has a thorowgood gp elastic girth.

Im just slightly worried he will be uncomfortable, he will only be doing hacking/schooling 4 hours maximum hacking a day for 3 days a week,schooling for 1 hour for 3daysand then has the other day off for brushing and cuddles


He needs to be clipped as he gets very uncomfortable in his winter coat and loses condition rapidly!

Welll, you can't just leave the girth bit all hairy!

Clip it off, he'll be fine. Buy a girth protector of some sorts of you're worried. I have a padded pro-lite girth sleeve I use for mine when he's just clipped to avoid any rubs wen he gets a bit sweaty.
