Clipping?

The Beast is due a clip and I wasn't overly pleased with how she was done last time. Was wondering how much other people pay for there's to be done? I have found a place 15mins away that charges £25 for bath, clip, nails, ears all pulled and glands as well. Is this good? I paid £22 last time but it was just bath and clip. Which wasn't even straight!

I was a full-time dog groomer for some years (still do the odd few) so might be able to help with prices. It depends entirely on what "the Beast" is so I could work out how long it all takes. Bit more info?????

Schnauzers are between £20 - £25 with me, however depends on doggie behavior LOL... Sounds about right, price wise..

The Beast is the mini schnauzer in my wee piccies, she's actualy quite big for her breed, 5 years old. Is a bit scared of being clipped. I can't be near her when she's being done as she won't stand for them! At the min her coat is v.long as it's been a while and she has a few wee matts that I have tried unsuccessfully to remove.

Best thing to do is find a groomer local, set up regular appointments, Schnauzers are usually every 8 weeks. The coat will be more managable, take less time & trauma to groom & dog will stand better and behave. Usually dogs that are scared of clipping don't get clipped often enough which means they get matted, grooming hurts and they begin to fear it! Good luck with her, she looks beautiful, bit of a character I'm sure!

I'd say she's normally done every 3 weeks *runs and hides in embarrassment* she hates baths (proof of this is the gallery!), she hates clipping, she hates getting brushed. I shall tak eyour advice and get her done more regularly. Yes she is a real character!
Tell me, where are you based in NI???

We attack our terrier with our big horse clippers. She stands stock still (probably horrified) and moans, but the result is pretty good.

Only clipped for summer though we let her get furry for winter!

Get some clippers from Argos (less than £25) and have a go yourself. Might not look as good at first but after a week it will settle down and look OK. It will save you a fortune.
P.S. Might take you a couple of tries to perfect the cut.

In all honesty I wouldn't trust myself to clip her. She can be difficult enough to brush! Also with her being a schnauzer she needs the nice skirts, eyebrows and beard which I think could prove diffcult!
