Is anyone clipping yet? Have two ponies who are rapidly gaining a winter coat! Getting very hot in this weather...safe to clip it all off do you think then thinking of a chaser clip when the weather starts to turn?

I'd clip if they would be more comfortable. We have a cushings horse on our yard and he has been clipped several times this summer.

I clip all year but am thinking both are going to get a freshen up this week.

Our horses are in heavy work & get warm so are clipped throughout the year. To decide which clip if any is suitable for your horse or pony you need to consider the coat they have, the amount of work they are in, if they live out or not & then clip accordingly. When you have decided to clip or not etc you will then need to decide on the rug you may need to put them in. Only you can make these decisions.
