Gonna clip my boy today .. As he has a few events over the months ..and also he sweats a lot when travelling ..so best to loose the hairy cob look ..( welshie) so I will put a rug on over night once clipped ;) but what to do by day ? I could put a rainsheet on but seems alittle mean when it's sunny/warm .. I normally clip October time so don't tend to have this prob .. So wwyd ? Thanks :)

I remember two years ago I clipped my mare in October and left her out naked 24/7 as it was still so warm- and it is forecast to be a hot October this year. She was hunter clipped and would have cooked in a rug. If you are fully clipping you may want a sheet on over night if the temperature is dropping, but if you are partially clipping e.g. trace or blanket i'd leave the rug off if the weather stays the same.
