I loathe and detest it with a passion......

...and wanted to get it out the way this weekend but weather looks grim. Don't have fancy stable to so it in, horse is tied up outside feed room and 'emergency' stable (currently filled with junk!!!!) and there's NO WAY I'm pulling all the junk out to use then have to put it all back in again...!! :p

Sure, I could pay someone but £20-odd quid a time mounts up for three beasties.....

TSK...I suppose I will have to resign myself to my fate and get it done!

...or...maybe I could barter my services for a friend to come and do it for me?? I don't mind a spot of poo-picking in exchange for a clip...

:p

I loathe it too I wear waterproofs everytime I clip and still manage to get hair in the most unwanted places, someone needs to design something to wear for clipping including a face mask to stop it getting in your eyes and mouth yuk:(

I quite like clipping but after 80+ full clips by xmas sours you to it somewhat! And I have yet to find a way to stop hair getting in every nook and cranny despite not a dot of skin being on show!

I really REALLY hate clipping ! I always get motivated and look forward to a nicely clipped horse, about 1/3 of the way through clipping I realise I hate it and would rather give up and leave horse half clipped...
I've done 5 this year so far and the last girl insisted on having lovehearts on her pony's bum ! Note to self.. avoid agreeing to clip any ponies with bright pink headcollars and rugs.

I only clip my own, but a friend has asked me to do a blanket clip on her new horse, im dreading it as it will have to be perfect or else I will not be able t sleep at night.

All 3 hunters now clipped. Was very lucky as only did one and OH did the other 2 whilst I was at work. I always do it bra less.....those hairs get everywhere!

I attempted my first clip yesterday. I think I enjoyed it for the first 5 minutes then the wind changed direction and I was soon wearing more hair than my horse. They really need to invent some kind of face mask, it made me really itchy. Safe to say I think I'll pay someone else to do it next time!!!

The forecast isn't looking too great! So if nothing else....I'll *try* to get three mane's hogged and their legs tided up a bit...

It I can get away from work any night next week, and the weather is half-decent, I'll attack them one at a time...

I quite like clipping but can never do really neat one as he has to be heavily sedated but I then notice after bits I've missed but can't get near him to sort as he's sober again! !

And I have to shower after as the hair everywhere is horrible!
