Clock Tower Stables Kingswood/Tadworth

If im thinking of the same one on the A217 it is now a building site and i think might be in the process of turnt into flats or something. Had been empty for a while before that. Not sure if thats any help :)

I went past there the other day on the way in to London and it definitely looks like it's closed to me, lots of building works going on- as the above post! has said!. I may be wrong but I think it was sold a couple of years ago.

Yeh its been closed for a while now, and certainly no horses or staff there.

The stables looks like they have been demolished although its too early to tell if they will be rebuilt into the same or something else??
I used to know a few people who worked there when it was run as a riding school, but that was a good few years ago now!

Ah yeah - thats the one

Crikey, I only moved away from the area 3.5 years ago  Darn it.........will have to think of another plan then (Sherlock I'm not lol )

I was desperately trying to locate my friend who worked there - I havent heard from her for about 6 months and she was going through a really tough time last time I spoke to her, but she hasn't returned any emails etc since :(
I was wanted to check she was okay

Thanks guys for replying x

really sad to hear clocktower has closed. I worked there when it was owned by Graham Rouse, have many happy memories, trained for my BHSAI while I was there. Loved riding Rosie, Gemma and Snoopy

I too have just found out Clock Tower has been converted into houses/flats :(
I used to work there in the mid 80's when Graham Rouse was there :) Lots of happy memories, Nimbus was a favourite as was Rosie and Thor (livery). Would love to hear from people who were there around 1984 - 87 ish :-) Nx

I remember working at clocktower with fond memories too. :) Must have been okay because after I did my AI there I left and then went back a few years later.

Loved the hacking from there, straight out the back onto open heathland, used to ride across to the pub on summer evenings

Think Graham's other half was Judy, :confused:remember she had horses called Schole and Schubler.

Also have fond memories of the little van Graham bought me as a run around after I passed my driving test, used it to take everybody shopping to Waitrose in Banstead once a week

Denise

We had an instructor called Denise who helped me with my stage 2! Could it be you?
Yes Judy was Graham's other half who sometimes gave I lessons I used to ride her horse called Chablis.
I remember the pub rides well and the hacks over to Derby day at Epsom and yes the weekly shop at Waitrose!
Do you remember Countess, Roly, Response, Shanty and Woody? To name a few and of course good old Snoopy :) I had the block where Rosie, Nimbus, Roly, Sonny and Scheon were stabled next to the office and my accomodation was in the first stable on the right as you came through the gate. It was freezing in the winter and the spiders were huge!
If you want to have a proper catch up about CT not so publicly I'm happy to give you my email address :)
Niki x
