Whatever next. Clone your dog for £60,000. Channel 4 tonight 10pm.
I suppose some rich idiots will be stupid enough to do it.

I utterly adore my dog who is now getting quite elderly and as much as I can't bear the thought of losing her one day, each animal is completely individual, and even if I had the money, would baulk at trying to replicate her. And then what happens when your cloned dog gets very old, do you then clone the clone??

If didn't see to nights program but saw an American version last year and those people were expecting a reincarnation of the old dog.
no i wouldn't clone my dog because i know it wouldn't be the same dog, just an identical twin. However if they could reincarnate or whatever the people on that program were expecting then i would pay that money in a flash to keep him with me

It was really only a matter of time, horses have already been cloned (albeit it for breeding purposes i.e. geldings being cloned and kept entire), there's still a lot of debate around it and debate regarding the clones or offsprings being allowed to compete, it's not something I would consider either way, you can't clone 'soul' or personality so you might get a dog/horse that looks the same but you won't be getting the same horse/dog.
Unfortunately it's the way of the world now, money buys just about anything whilst there are people with low morals/ethics to supply it.
