Close Encounters of the Furred Kind (pics)

Well after their visit to us last week, B and I returned the pleasure and went to see Colleen and Tikka.
Dogs got on great despite initialy 'HELLO' shoutiness and for the first time, B was off lead away from home territory, somewhere he has never been before, and he was fab.

He also met Missy, first ever face-to-face meeting with a horse, and while he decided after a while that he would quite like to nibble her yummy nose, he did so much better than I expected.

He DID jump in a boghole and get covered in hundreds of sticky burrs, but on the bright side I didn't drown my camera and no one's dog locked themselves in a parked car

Many thanks to my willing assistant who held B in a headlock while I de-burred his business end

Looks like you all had a great time. Love the pictures of B with Missy, he isn't quite sure what to make of her is he. He did a good job of the sticky burrs too!

*Someone* is having a bath tomorrow....

They both had a real blast, it is lovely to see them hooning about together

And yes, Tikka is a little ambitious about how much she can carry, it was more of a 'I have it, you're not getting it, nananana!'

Don't remember a doggy one, thinking about it I had a zoo as well, or maybe that was my daughter! She will be gutted she missed out on a show jumping set

Yep, sadly the only horses I was allowed home with were made of fuzzy felt, Playmobil or Lego

or made by Mattel, Breyer, Barbie, Sindy or Hasbro.

Then I discovered DOGS! Smaller and cheaper to run

Tikka is a nutcase when it comes to rocks ...She thinks she can lift any "boulder"

. Had to laugh at the whinning she was doing when she couldn't pick the rock up out of the grass

Had a great time .....Will definitely have to do it again when you get back from your hols

Thanks, yes, I fully expect to find more, hidden, in the morning!

I particularly liked when Tikka stuck her face in the river like a scuba diver to get another mahoosive rock to play with and almost forgot to come up for air.....

Cheers again for having us, will defs go out for another yomp with you and Tikka when we get back, delighted they get on so well
