Cloudy Cornea ... Anyone had experience of this?

My 11 year old TB mare has a cloudy cornea. Vet has ruled out Moon Blindness as the inner eye is okay but it's on the cornea. Antibiotics have not helped so am now trying a course of steroids. Has anyone had similar with their horse and did you have any reoccurrences?
