"Cloudy Night, best known for finishing second best in the 2005 Hickstead Derby with Tim Stockdale, has died after developing a severe leg infection. She was 14. The grey mare by Cantus won more than £70,000 in prize money. Claire Heynemann bought her at the beginning of the year and was looking forward to breeding from her. She told H&H "We'd had a lovley year competing together and she was really enjoying herself in 1.25m classes. She was so talented, a real softie and we loved her very much".

She was an amazing horse, and such a stunner

I know, i thought she was a fantastic mare! I am sure it was her (correct me if i am wrong) that always went to sleep during the afternoon and the yard had to be kept quiet for her...or so i was told

Yes. She was sold and its the new owner who has had to deal with this tragedy though..
