Does anyone know of a product that will kill clover but not kill the grass? I know that that Ragtime kills ragwort(obviously) docks, thistles and buttercups but it doesnt state whether it kills clover.

Also if you do know of a product do you know how long it is before horses can graze it again?

Broadsword kills all broad leaved plants but won't kill your grass. I generally keep my horses off sprayed land for about 3 weeks and at least 2 rains.

Tia, is that an american product or can I get it over here? ill have to google it.
3 weeks isnt too bad. I had thought if necessary I could split my field in 2 and do one half one year and then the other half the following year but sounds like I might not have to resot to that.
So am assuming it will all the other bits like docks etc but is ragwort classed as a broadleaf - normally pull it anyway

No it's British - pronounced Broad Sword. You need to have a farmer get it for you if you don't have a chemicals licence though - although perhaps all you have to do is sign for it - not sure.

We have a big problem with the stuff too. You may find the Agri Merchant will think you are a bit mad, as farmers want clover!!

My hubby, whos a farmer and contractor says, any spray to kill weeds in grass will take out the clover. The big problem is when you want to keep the clover and kill the weeds, that gets very expensive. Deputox, a corn spray will do the job too. If you need to know more let me know as he has been dealing with grassland for years. Jules
