Club Foot

My mare has a slight 'cup' in her right front. Farrier has looked at radiographs and shoes her accordingly. She is young - 5 years old - I'd like to hear from others whose horses had a similar condition and how that affected the horses as they aged. Are they more prone to arthritis, for example?

I had an approved breeding stallion who had a club foot due to an injury as a foal. He competed at PSG and was on the Canadian junior dressage team, lived to a ripe old age and wasn't ever lame.
