Does anyone have any experience of TBs (or others) damaging themselves with what look like puncture holes? Two months ago my 6-yr old managed to put a puncture hole on the inside of his right hock while stabled overnight. (Hospital for flushing out and box rest and pasture rest...... and on). Just starting back in work and brought in from field this week with similar wound on inside of left foreleg few inches below pec muscles. Hopefully not as serious and responding to treatment but would like to have an idea of how it happens. Stable finger-tip searched and good search of field revealed nothing obviously dangerous. He is shod. Have resorted to overreach boots for some protection but am not confident I have cracked it. Does anyone have any thoughts on what he is up to please?
