thats what i got but thought i was wrong as isn't there only 4 inches to the hand,making it 16hh....ehhh i'm lost now.
maybe that makes him not quite 15.1hh(the .4 being nearly half,if that makes sense)

But that methos makes 148 = 14.3 hands, not 14.2.

The two units don't actually correlate numerically....

But 153cm is counted as 15 hands

158cm is counted as 15.2 hands

So i'd probably say 15.1!!
