Is anyone going to Solihull on Saturday.
We never recieved our SAE back and I have just had a reply to my email and been told it starts at 9am and daughter is not riding until 2.45pm.The horse can't stand on the box for that long so think we won't go ,so thats a waste of money.
I can't bring the horse by myself in the afternoon as I will have her toddler to look after and if she's not riding until that time it will finish too late for us as we have no electric lights.
It is my fault for not reading it all properly. How will people manage with their horses if they are in that group? It seems very drawn out, but again my fault for not looking into it.
OTHERS BEWARE

I hate to say it, but the programme on the website makes it quite clear it is half a day of unmounted workshops and half a day of riding, so whatever time she was riding this would always be the case.

I'd email and ask if day stabling is available - you never know, and the venues are all places set up with those kinds of facilities.

I'm going on my own

I'm hoping someone will keep an eye on the horse for me. Really looking forward to it.
If you've got a friend going can't they take your horse off the lorry for you and give it a walk?
Haven't had my times yet.

I know it is my fault ,I should have read it much more and Christie has emailed me to offer to change her group ,which is really kind of her.Hope to go for the morning and take horse back at lunch time ,then she can go back and I can see to little one.Hope to see you there .Can't miss us we are taking the quirky coloured

Glad you are still going - would be a shame to have missed it.

The organisers seem very helpful, and I am so hopeful that it will be a good day and really useful. Fingers crossed as it is a lot of money (well, the same price as an entry anyway!).

Mine will almost certainly get some 'standing on the lorry' practice!

They have now changed her to the pony club group which is fine as often the pc kids are brilliant. It means I can take horse and baby back home.
I did apolagise profusely and think they are really trying to help everyone.
So who else is going and how will I know you?

I'm going to the West Wilts one, which is 10 days before my first event - I toyed with the idea of Sollihull but decided I wanted to do the one closer to the start of the season.

I booked stabling for that very reason. Plus I thought I'd be going alone and didn't want to be worrying about him all day. No need to worry if he has hay!

I would not worry about it - pro's horses manage to be on all day sometimes, and I have travelled to dressage with friends and had 5 hours between classes with the weather too foul to take them off unless they were being ridden. Plus you only have one, you can widen the partitions if you want, and take him off when you arrive and at lunch for a leg stretch surely?

LOL true! Seems like good value for money so will probably go, was seeing if my friend was going to go, but her horse wont stand on the lorry for any time once the wheels stop turning!
