Just a quick one, I have a set of Lister Liberty clippers which came with standard blades. They go through Saf's coat quite happily, but I need to now clip my other old girl who is growing her winter coat already. Would it be better to buy some coarse blades to get through her coat? The final 'look' doesn't matter, though she might disagree if it affects her ability to seduce to young geldings on the yard!

Bit of a clipping novice to not sure what's best to do.

TIA!

I have fine blades on my liverymann clippers and they had no problems cutting through my cushings mares coat. I just make sure I stop every ten mins to clear the fluff and re oil

A lot of my customers have a set of coarse blades for "cushings" horses. WHilst finer blades will go through, they tend to get gummed up or blunt quicker. A coarse set will go through much easier and with less stress.
