coat bleaching

my piebald mare's coat has been bleached in the sun and the black patches are starting to go grey, well with grey hairs through the black

she wears a 'cool coat' in the field to stop it but are there any shampoo's or anything you can use to make the bleached area's black again? thanks.

Sun tends to bleach black patches brown rather than grey. Are you sure some of her patches aren't just roan? Roans tend to have more white hairs in their summer coats, than their winter ones. My piebald mare has some roan patches (see pic far right of siggy, neck patch looks grey, but is actually black with white hairs through it).

i have a black mare owned her a year got her in the may and over winter had a very dark coat then this summer her coat went roany grey! only in patches though and now a few weeks later she back black again!

get a spray sun cream and spray that on her thats what my friend does!
