cob lovers

My eyes! My eyes!
S :D

Lol, you're right, they are a feast for tired eyes! :p

Here are my boys Freddy and Harry. You'll probably remember I reared them on the bucket and we've gone from this -

to this, just a few weeks ago. Harry was meant to be the show cob like all of his siblings (HOYS qualifiers no less) but he's now 16 hands and Freddy who was expected to be a hunter type is more of a cob!

Loving the wedding pictures. :D

And also very glad to note my cob isn't a big fat fatty like some of the other liveries like to point out...he's perfect size for a cob!!!:D

Ohhhhh now I'm VERY jealous!!!!!!! I'm completely smitten with grey cobs and Bonnie is amazing!!! She's exactly the sort of mare I'd go for...would have to be a very special horse for me to have a mare and she most definately would catch my eye!!!!! Beautiful!!!

Thank you :D It was love at first sight, and if I am truthful she was maybe not the best choice for a 1st horse, but we perservered, she's still a bit of a minx at times and can be uber spooky, still adore her though...

And for what its worth, when I was looking for a horse I was looking for a gelding preferably in bay, black or coloured !! ROFL. Still, wouldn't swap my girlie for the world.

I love it when people make the old comment 'oh an easy, reliable, ploddy cob'!! Yeah right!! Mine has had more people off than I've had hot dinners, he loves nothing better than bouncing and bolting across open fields, he'll spin on the spot, throws huge jumps over tiny poles and is generally the most unpredictable strong willed nutter you'll find...then the next day he'll plod at zero mph and will be like a lamb to handle!!!!

I challange anyone to stop a cob when they decide they are doing something naughty, Kane puts that neck against me and I'm helpless...and I swear I can hear him laughing sometimes!! Cheeky is definately his middle name!!

But would I ever change him....hell NO!!!! :D

This is Ellie, my share mare. I am devastated because I have to give her up in about a week when I go to uni.

This is one gorgeous face... and me looking like a duck ;)

OMG, you could be describing Bonnie there !! Nothing can stop her when she's "on one" and I am no willowy wisp, I am nearly 6' tall !! She always knows when she's been a fruitloop as she'll sidle up to me for a cuddle. These chunky types are so much fun, have HUGE characters and more brains than most give them credit for. Sharp as a tick and deeply loyal, wouldn't seriously swap her for the world !!

Lovely cobs guys

Here's my old lad, he was sold by his old owners because he was very norty! I loved him. I always thought that if I bought a horse it would be some posh competition horse but he stole my heart :)

I hope these work, just enrolled at photobucket !!

Anyway, this is my pride and joy, Bonnie :D

They are all gorgeous :D loving those flying feathers SpinalTap :) usually I am allergic to feathers but they suit JS totally!

Catdragon - your Bonnie is fabulous and now I know what her doppelganger would look like untrimmed!

This is Gideon

Oh my word ! Gideon is Bonnie's doppelganger, even the pink skin and blue markings ! Incredible... Will have to post some more pics up when she's clipped (not feathers/legs) in a couple of weeks. Gideon's lovely :D I don't compete Bonnie so prefer her "au naturale" look :)

She's originally from Ireland (not sure where though) as I bought her from a dealer who'd bought her across 8 weeks before I purchased her.
