Anyone want to do a spot of window shopping?
Friend is looking for a cob 14.2+ 3year+ green or unbacked to bring on, problem is she doesn't want a coloured it's like finding a needle in a haystack!

Irish Draught, Chestnut, Mare, 4 years, 160 centimetres
Carrickrock Close Shave Foxglen Himself
Millhollow Lady
My Castana Rose Castana
Kasandra
Top show mare for sale

found this within seconds of looking - there are loads out there.

Because they are looking for a cob. Its so irritating when people randomly put up details of things that arent cobs. The word cob can be changed for anything!

But don't forget a cob is a 'type' and not a breed - having said that anything at 160cm will be certainly overheight (assuming she is not looking for a maxi!).

A Suffolk Punch isn't a Cob, though. Nor is an ID. Fair enough, you see lots of Cobby types, but suggesting something totally irrelevant is a waste of everyone's time.

Don't know were you are but there seem to be a lot of dealers selling cobs and considerably fewer private ones might be worth having a look at the sales too

Are you looking for a "true cob" or the things (lovely as they may be) that are grazed near council estates?? Big difference in type/ quality/ price and also where to look...........................

Who knew cobs could

be so controversial. Thank you for all the replies I shall pass them on, on the topic of true cob, gypsy cob or cob type I think she's open to all options as long as they are well put together but a little bit of feather would sway her.

It is a Suffolk punch cross and the ad states she would make a good maxi cob. I don't think she is totally irrelevant. My mare is shire x Tb but is a 'cob'. Cob is not a breed unless you are talking about a welsh cob. The feeling I got from the op was that she was looking for a type and not a welsh cob. In particular not wanting a coloured will probably mean looking at other cob type crosses.
