MY daughter has a skewbald pony, and shes getting all the pretty browbands etc for showing.

Im jealous i want to get one for my 14.2hh cob, so is there any classes i'd be able to use it in to justify spending on it??
And any colour suggestions would be great thanks.

Hmmmm unfortunately for cob classes its a plain browband .... but if you're doing riding club horse I think you'd be ok

But I don't see what's wrong with having a pretty browband for hacking in

You don't put pretty browbands on cobs unfortuantly.
they have lovely smart wide width browbands and nosebands, plain leather..... very smart (I prefer this)

You could maybe justify spending on one for a "coloured" class, but they would prob just say you should be in "cob tack"

But if its just for local showing then in coloured classes it should be fine........

what colour is your cob?

nah for jumping it will be fine!

any excuse to look super smart!

Have you got a face or total body shot?

Skewbalds look nice in green and gold combo I think!

or blues..........

what colour is your numnah for jumping?

DON'T!!!!!! PLEASE DON'T!!!!!! Nothing looks worse on a cob!! They need a plain workman like bridle with a thick, flat noseband. You would also get marked down for using a coloured browband in cob classes.

He's very handsome!

I got the boring plain thick nosebands etc all for showing, but he's got a sparkly diamante one for dressage!! He DOES look very handsome in the plain stuff though - workman like!

For showing go for the workman look (looks ways nicer!

)

For yours, if your numnah is navy go for a navy and baby blue and silver detail one!

For your daughter...... for showing go for the plain workman tack!

For flashy fun stuff go for a coloured one or diamante

For showing please lose the navy numnah - a brown sheepskin or cloth but very very discrete - you are showing your cob off not the tack!
