Hi,

Recently acquired a blagdon cob and I've just clipped him and on his neck , saddle area and a bit on his belly there are these hard pea sized lumps?

He's more itchy with them over anything but there doesn't seem to be a scab or an entry either ? Just hard and round to the touch ? No discharge or anything

Any advice , supplements care routines etc

Many thanks

could be blocked “pores/follicles”…hairy horsey getting warm and muddy and greasy. If you ve clipped and are keeping him clean these may disappear. Our old mare has a hard lump which comes and goes and doesn’t bother her at all.

I think they could be protein lumps.
Do they look like the photo?

They could be collagen lumps with the fancy name of Eosinophilic granuloma. Quite common in areas that get pressure from tack.
