Well, today was our villiages celebration of HM's jubilee and the village Were having a huge do, including a carnival type thing doing a tour around the village! There were tractors with floats of with peole on, music blasting, flags, fancy dress and all sorts. There were loud, vintage cars, motor bikes, police cars, fire engines, you name it, it was there!!
Oh, and 4 mad people on horses
We dressed them up, flag as a rug, ribbon and all sorts everywhere and met up at the secondary school (where I just left! Seems weird riding around my school, but gypsy kindly left a deposit for them
) and we met up with 2 shire type horses who live the other side of the village, sadly they got 100 yards down the road and they were going mad and the huge 18 hander almost sat on a car to they took them home as they hated the horns. So with a bit of waiting around, gypsy being put on the leadrope because he was going mad, the mare just came into season thismorning so was hormonal and kicking everywhere!
Off we went, we were behind everything else so nothing was going to get squished if one decided to do something! Gypsy looked stunning, I rode him in his Pelham and he goes lovely in it, although very worried to start with, he soon settled and really enjoyed it! He loved all the people and children, god knows how many compliments am photos were of us! It was fantastic, never seen so many people in such a small area, it was packed, all came out to see the carnival and everyone was pleased to see horses taking part.
Gypsy can't go anywhere without drawing attention to himself, embarrassing me, and doing something...gypsy like! So while we spent about 10 minutes towards the end of the tour standing around waiting for something to happen, in the middle of the road with people in front, on a slight down hill slope. He decided it was a fantastic time to pee -.- and pee he did, rather a lot of pee too! How embarrassing! Everyone turned around to see a slinky river heading their way and looking at us, someone even took a photo of him peeing
Anyway, super proud mummy, I think that is what you call a bombproof pony!
Oh, and our usually event photographer happened to be there and took some lovely photos!
I can't upload them else I'll be in serious trouble with TFC, but hopefully this link will work, there's about 10 of them if you keep clicking sideways
