Well, with a very sleepless night Sunday, getting up at 6.30am Monday really threw me. Coblet had rolled on the muddiest patch he could find (typical isn't it?!) so spent ages brushing him. Booted and ready to go for an hours journey to the show.
Our first show was Ridden Coloured, against some very, very nice horses. Coblet behaved impeccably and even cantered on the correct leg (he really struggles with it), to me, I thought he went really nicely, stood well and behaved well. Sadly it wasn't to be and we came last out of 8, but I think we went in the wrong class and should have done ridden cob instead but nevermind, what came next cheered me up...
Next up were the fun classes, best mane and tail, with half a bottle of conditioner later and a lot of brushing we were ready. There was a fair but if competition, buy as I was walking around you could hear other people next to and around say 'that's the winner', and yes, we won
I was really chuffed with, then because we won, we went into the 'fun show championships' where the winners from best mare, best gelding, best veteran, pony judge would most like to take home and fancy dress. AND WE WON THAT
was soo chuffed with the little man, we were presented with a beautiful sash, huge 'champion' rosette, a pink grooming kit and £25!!!
Then the in-hand classes, which I was worried about because last time we did an in hand show, he planted himself and refused to move :L we were in best driving type and best cob. Well he moved like a star in both of them, and we were placed 4th and 3rd!
not only that but we qualified for:
2x Royal London Show
2x MIDARC
Traditional of the Year Show
And 2x ameture show showing society summer show

We will do the midarc and maybe TOYS but not to London
Super proud of the wee mite
Will post pictures later, watch this space
