Cobs and jumping

Mines a tradional and he goes mad if he sees a jump . Took him out for the first time last year we got some looks but i think we got the last laugh though

Daisy loved her jumping. Her record was 3ft 3 at home and she loved to go xc. You do get a few comments about having a sweet pony (she was 15.1hh) from patronising onlookers but they had to take it all back when she won!

Both of mine are Cob x's and I jump them both. Both are very good and one of them has potential to go far and I am hoping to affiliate him when he is older. I also know quite a few cobs which are brilliant jumpers and have ridden a fair few good jumpers which have been cobs myself.

So no, it's not a silly question at all! I'm sure you will have plenty of fun jumping your cob when he is older! :)

Cobs are great jumpers and some are a lot better than the warmbloods! I jump small jumps with mine but am sure he could do higher (just rider not ready for that lol!)

Bit late to the cobs jumping theme, but couldn't resist posting this - just showing off daughter's fab lad.

In the field in his natural state (excuse odd clip):

Ron loves to jump, in fact i have to physically STOP him from jumping sometimes. We have on occasion jumped a pony :o and we had an arguement about not jumping a hedge oneday, and just as I thought I had better hold on and kick he changed his mind (it was over my head!!) and I ended up sitting in said hedge. Pic below is us team chasing a couple of years ago.

Just started my lad jumping logs and poles (so no pics yet), must say he is very cobish but a soon as we put jumps out he finds this store of energy and soon wakes up to clear them. It's just.... I'm a wimp, and don't like jumping but for him I'll try!! Love him to bits never felt so safe going over anything as I do with him!!!!:D

Cobs rule!!!!!!!!!!
