Are there any sites I should avoid and does anyone have any recommendations pls. Friend is 'thinking' about getting herself a plod...

They are not all plods my daughters is more forward going than my tb ,I did see a site called safe cobs not sure if its still online.

Seconded. My wife's cob is safe and sensible, but when you give him his head he really goes. He stops for nothing cross country and really loves to go hard.
Definitely not a plod.

Got my little cob from Holistic Horses and he is definately a plod bless him. Safecobs might be worth a look.

FIFTHED!!! (if there's such a word!) and my one is ex Lynn Russell too!! Certainly NOT a novice ride or a first horse but one in a million! Good luck in your search! How about Stubley Hollow Farm? Don't know much about them but they have good descriptions of their horses and seem keen for them to go to the right person/s. Put another post on to ask if anyone has bought a horse from there.

My friend wants a short, fat and hairy plod though so a cob it'll have to be. Friend is no lightweight so we want plenty of bone and a nice short sturdy back...
It's just I'm sure there have been some posts about some places NOT to touch and wanted to browse some websites and get an idea of the sort of money she needs to be thinking about...

It does not have to be a cob
A quiet Highland or Dales pony will carry an adult easily, possiblt one who has gone voer breed height or does not have the sparkle for showing.

One of my boys came from Lynn Russell too ! I have also been to Holistic Horses, I liked the woman who owns it, but the cob I went to see was greener/more spooky than the one I was considering selling because he was too green/spooky !
Safecobs seems to have a good reputation, but I have no personal experiance of them.
