Cobs in snazzy browbands

I am looking for Christmas pressies for the owners of my share-horse(s) and was thinking that they might like shiny brow-bands.

One horse has an elegant head and looks lovely in his sparkly brow-band, but it has started to lose crystals, which made me think of getting a new one.

Their other horse has quite a cobby head with a bit of a Roman nose, so something delicate wouldn't suit him at all. He's very dark bay with a white stripe. Anyone willing to help me shop, recommend colours, or show me inspirational photos?

Or should I just get horse #2 something else?
 
You need mega bling for a cob. This is just a normal width. I would like a bigger one :D

I liked the fact that I could order a bigger one as I have a pet hate of browbands being too tight. I had intended to replace with a sparkly one, but this has a really nice feel and gets lots of compliments, so it has stayed (mine is 'bronze' - not sure they still do that though).

I prefer a straight style with a cobby head - but if you are on a yard people may let you try theirs on to get a feel for shape before you source one.

Genie has had a few, but I think this one (three lines - one black, one clear, another black) is my favourite.... (forgive her doing her best donkey impression...)

For horses with a lot of white on their face (or a stonking blaze like Genie) I must admit I'm less of a fan of the 'big' bling... I think with so much chrome it is not needed and can be distracting rather than complimenting their features. On horses with a 'plainer' head as far as white markings go then mega bling can look very nice indeed. My opinion anyway! I always go for the curved shape as I prefer it, but that's down to personal opinion. As you can see I also prefer a chunkier browband rather than a fine one. She would look ridiculous in the really fine browbands that you see on some of the finer types.

Ooooh, I've a native type and always assumed I couldn't "do" bling .. I'm beginning to re-think this!

I love miss c's choice of bling, particularly.

I have to straight ones to hide the fact that his line of colour is very diagonal! He does have a plain wide Havana one too, but it's a bit too plain and kept for shows.
 
Beads make a nice alternative to bling. Bespoke Browbands on Facebook do some fabulous ones, they are hand made by Karin Hackett and can be made to your exact specifications. I have carnelian, silver hematite and tiger's eye.

Lol that's what I used to think and I always swore I'd never have bling.... then I got into dressage.... Some bling I see just looks horrifically tacky though in my eyes!

Thank you :) Just keep it plain and workmanlike in the show ring, and enjoy the bling elsewhere! ;)
