Cobs: Type or Breed?

iv said type, althought im no expert, iv always thought its a cob type, which could mean anything crossed with anything of that sort of breed. if that makes any sense!! lol thats just my opinion

where as the welsh cob is a breed...

I said type, as coloured gypsy cobs are totally different to show cobs so they could hardly be described as a breed when there is so much difference between them.

i think they are totally different to the Cobs in the cob classes, i prefer a gypsy cob, i think its because they have al their feathers and manes, im not a great lover of hogged manes but some horses it looks really nice!!

its all quite confusing when you really think about it!!!!
 
Just what is the definition of a cob? Ask ten people and you will get a whole bunch of different answers.

In the UK, would this be described as 'Cobby' ? (15.1h, sherman tank type) Hogged, trimmed?

Well, that's Robin, almost. Not sure about the Duchess's head perhaps! She certainly has the backside of a Mack truck.

I wouldn't say Robin was cobby Enfys, I think she is nice and round though (just how I like them)
