For years I had an arab, 2 TBs and a WB. Now totally hooked on the gypsy cob (and of course the clydesdale). Fun, very forward going but safe - just what you need as when you get into your 40s the falls hurt more than they used to.
Here is the baby - he is just 2 in this pic
And the old boys who is 21 this year but still going strong
I am lucky and haven't come across many people who are anti cob, more the opposite and people have been converted into loving them they are just fab and can do soooooooo much!!! There is not a ploddy bone in my boys body he is up for everything and is the most loving horse I have ever met!!!!
I wouldn't buy anything that wasn't a cob or cob cross, I just don't get on with finer beasts! Chex isn't super heavy, but he has the cob mentality - that stubborn streak, the calmness, and the ability to put his hooves to anything! Not 100% keen on really lazy cobs, but thats because I'm too lazy to constantly keep them going lol
Here's my little cob (not a true cob, but near enough!):
Ooo did once have a comment at a hunter trials, my friend overheard someone asking if that carthorse was doing it!!!! How rude and he beat all of their horses so a very belated ner ner ner ner ner!!!!
Benjamins mum, you seem to already have a stunning pony of your own so hands off Mac he's mine........... Im hatching a cunning horse rustling plan as I type!!
You wont have a chance............. he'll be mine mine mine by then *evil take over the world cackle!!!!*
Ignore me Im just desperately looking for a share horse and cant find one anywhere, and then theres you lot posting pics of these AMAZING cobs.............
