15year old hanavarian just been diagnosed with coffin joint arthritis in both 4/10 he has been x-rayed and had steroid injections in both feet (HY50),an antibiotic and pain relief, he is now on his hard feed with 1.5scoop glousammine or similar sounding stuff bare feet and on a strict work programme,
My question is we have started His work programme after a week of rest following the injections ( walking, for 10 mins twice a day for a few days then moving onto trot etc ) although he is a lot better he is still slightly lame after trot could this be due to the " pulling about " of the joints when injected or the injections not working. What are the odds of him getting back to ridden work.
Any information or links to information would be great fully received as my wife is at her wits end please help thanx
