Coffin Joint

would anyone be able to give me any information about inflammation of the coffin joint? i really need some help on whether a horse with this will come completely sound, how long they need to be rested, what its caused by, how slow rehab is, anything i can feed to help with this, just anything would be really helpful!

This one of the problems im dealing with with my young horse.You really need to get vet out to find out why there is inflammation.My younsters hooves were very short he had never seen farrier, and this caused inflammation in laminae, he is know in gel pads and is due to have medication /injections in coffin joint.We cant do anything at moment as he has just had surgery.
You must find out what is causing problem so you can treat accordingly.Vet feels my horse can make full recovery.
Have you seen vet ?
How old is horse ?
What feed is he on ?
Is he over weight ?
these can all be factor
