Teddy the skinny TB I bought has been shod this week, ready to start gentle work to build up some muscle. I had the saddle fitted (narrow, high withered) and did not show any back problems when checked by the vet when we first got him 9 weeks ago.
Anyway, when I first get on he does this odd movement, like a cat hunching his back, a few steps forward and he relaxes. Thats it, no other symptoms, but I have only walked and trotted him around.
When we first got him he did have a six inch saddle sore (If you dont remember Ted have a look at the pics on my profile) which has completely healed.
He is not insured for vets bills.
I realise that he may just be thinking of the pain he used to get when ridden, and I may have scared myself by investigating the symptoms on the internet.
Any thoughts?

Sorry I meant to shed more light! Unfortunately my TB did exactly that with kissing spine. As it's nothing obvious I would think it needs further investigation

sounds like cold backed, which can be secondry to KS. My horses back used to dip down when i got on him and then relax after a few strides. he does have mild KS, tbh i would be shocked if a horse was x-rayed and didnt show some degree of KS or closeness in the spinal proceses. With correct managment you can work with it.
try lunging him for five munites first before you get on him, you may find he doesnt react at all when you get on him as his muscles are warming up.
