Coligon

Hi

I found my mare in the field today with a really bad wound on her leg, i called the vet immediatly and she has now been stitched up but has to be on box rest for at least 1 month, i am a bit worried though as the last time she was stabled for more than a couple of days she has a very mild case of colic.
I am looking into using coligone to help prevent this and just wondered what anyones thoughts were or if they have used anything else.

Sounds a good idea, as well as helping colic it had a calming effect on my horse, definitely worth it in your situation.

If she's on bute for the leg that would dampen down any colic symptoms too.
