as title.

CAN you put in feed? does it work as well?

horse will take it by syringe from me no probs, but on the occasions that none horsey father feeds, it would be easier if it could go in feed than having NHF fighting with 16.2hh of young, man shy, TB!!!

ETA-he will only take the liquid, doesnt like the taste of the powder.

I contacted the Coligone makers and they sent me an email saying you should not use the liquid in food. I got my horse to eat the powder by adding apple juice, after trying marmite, jam and many other things. Still it was well worth the effort. I think it is one of the best supplements on the market.

Maybe it depends on how you're using it? I can see that if you have an already gassy horse & want to help get rid of the build up then it would make more sense to syringe it in, you don't want to give feed at that point. However if it's being used daily to try & prevent gassiness I don't see why adding it to feed should be a problem.

It seems odd that I received different advice to FanyDuChamp.

It is odd. I know for a fact that Hs Mum has done tests to see if the efficiency of the liquid was diminished if added to the feed, and the results showed that it was not. I have always used it in feed, as a preventative, never used it as a syringe product unless travelling. Am pretty much !00% nothing has changed since then :) And seeing that I was there at the inception, development, release to market stages and to the present day, I reckon she would have let me know if I was wasting my money feeding it in the bowl ;)
