Colin McRae feared dead in helicopter crash!!

I know he was a slightly grumpy scot, but he was also a good bloke.

Sounds like his young son could have been in the helecopter with him but no mention of the other two. How sad for their families

I heard the news this morning on my way back from the yard. Absolutely terrible news. All that's been confirmed is that it was a helicopter registered to Colin but no news on who the occupants were. Seems likely he was in it though. And at only 39 with a wife and children as well.

it is so sad he was a fab driver and great bloke,my thoughts are with his wife and family how very sad to not only lose your husband but your son as well,its brought a tear to my eye.

i heard the update on the radio and they were saying 2 of the others were a 6yr old boy and a 37 year old man. very sad day for all concerned

Very very sad - Colin was my hero & the sole reason I started rallying
He was so talented yet quiet & unassuming. He should have been spending the rest of his life with his family after putting the sport behind him - how awful for this to have happened. I cannot imagine was his wife Alison & daughter Holly must be going through
