Has anyone got any experiences?

My horse has damaged his collateral ligament in his hock. There is also some rough bone.

We've been told to give him 4 months off before a rescan, followed by a minimum 4 months flatwoek, although the vet seems fairly positive for the long teem.

I was wondering if anyone has any experiences? Touch wood it seems to be a very minor injury, he is only very very slightly lame and we picked up on it as he started throwing the odd stop.

He's allowed to go out in a small field so no box rest thank god. He is having shockwave therapy, but have also read about stem cell therapy and am wondering about giving them a ring to see if they think it's worth doing?
