Did you go to Warwickshire College by any chance? They changed it now so that weekends you start at 8am, till about 4-4:30pm and then late check at 7pm ish and it only takes 15 minutes. Also weekdays all start on 9:30 when not on early lates, and 7:30 if you are on early lates, finishing at 5:30pm. You also now only have to do 4 weeks of it, they told us they used to do a LOT more.

No I did my ND at Rodbaston College which one week in every 5 I think. I went to Warwickshire College to do my degree and only had to do one week on yards which was fine! We ran off to the stud yard to muckout the likes of Dude so we got left alone hehe.

I dropped out of my degree after a year though.

I'm surprised Hartpury doesnt have an automatic blower to do the sweeping work. Or maybe they do but dont let the students let loose with it.

My college used to say weekends are like working in the real world but in my experience you get loads of breaks on other yards and you dont get told off for standing around having a little chat now and then!
 
i did my degree at warwickshire college and we only had to do like 2 weeks of yards (towards our stable management module) yay :) felt so sorry for the ND's who did it all the time! Manged to get out of doing any weekend days too as i had a part time job :)

I went on a taster weekend thingy at hartpury years ago and we visited the stud and watched a covering - got the hysterical immature giggles at that! The foals were sooooo cute and very cheeky and we groomed them and gave them cuddles :)
 
not fair i waned to go to hatpury so much and my mum didnt let me now im stuck at school in the crappy 6 form and i really hate it :( i am the only day girl in my form and thereis only 3 englishgirls in it the rest are chineese
had to go to some some stupid indution and bonding thing it was soooo boring
 
JoJo -lol yeah, i will suggest that :p! Hehe yeah, but i suppose colleges are more strickter than work places!! x

Suzie - Awwwww yeah the foals are adorable :p you just want to take them home :D I was suppost to do yard duties every other weekend but because there more people we only have to do it once a month now :D I have a weekend job but boss really nice and doesn't mind me having 1 weekend off :D he brill!!

Wilsha - Awwww bless, heard about that not good and very unfair!! What happened about coming in my suitcase? :p x
