So, my brother and his family are about to embark on the journey of dog ownership. Said dog is a lovely 5 month old collie.

It will be a family pet, but my niece (for which it's primarily being purchased for) is very keen on training and ultimately agility. Just for further info.

What do people on here with collies feed?

My standard answer....whatever suits the dog! Feed whatever he is used to at breeders to start with and if they want to change then investigate other options that work for their budget and feeding "wants" list. Mine are all raised on Royal Canin/Pro Plan/Eukanuba until 1yo then we switch to various other things

Thanks, that's so helpful.

She's coming from the Dogs Trust, so they'll continue on the same food and if they feel it's necessary transition her on to something else.

Mine have all been fed skinners.

9 month old still on pup food because at 9 months he's bloody huge!

He'll go onto either working 23 or lamb and rice as chicken makes him itchy so can't have maintenance.
