COLOR HELP!

hey,

i clipped my dun pony last weekend and he has gone from a nice bright gold color to a very pale shade of grey but im going showing next week and would like to get some color back into him as he is just looking very dull this may sound stupid but is there any way to color a horse?!

not that I'm aware of! it's common that most if not all horses change shade when they're clipped

i know haha, its just he's gone a really awful color but needed clipping for a hunter trail today, ahh well grey it will have too be

Try and hot cloth him a few times, this should make the coat look nicer although it won't change his colour back to what it was!

Hot water, cider apple vinegar and a cloth and although he'll still be grey he'll be lovely and shiny

I know people use paprika to darken blacks very successfully, not sure if it is used for other colours though.

I agree with the hot cloth treatment a couple of times and, if you don't already feed oil, try NAF Omega Oil (start with a little and give a little more each day) and you should get some improvement in four or five days.
